GIGO Oversight and Governance
The GIGO project is an example of a growing number of supply chain collaboration initiatives which are beginning to emerge around the world. Collaboration consultants agree that two of the biggest barriers to collaboration are Trust and Win-Win.
First, Win-Win - put simply in any collaboration all parties must win, but not all parties win equally. GIGO offers benefits to terminal operators (of all types and truck operators.
Second, Trust - our approach with GIGO is to work via industry trusted industry organisations who are in a position to equitably represent the views and needs of their members. By this approach a more balanced environment will be established.
Foundation Partners
We have therefore created 'Foundation Partner' status.
Foundation Partners will have a seat on the GIGO Steering Group who will work under a binding legal constitution, whose primary responsiblities will be:
- Drive the Product Roadmap
- Monitor service levels
- Decide on selected fixed cost items and how they shall be shared.
- In general to ensure that GIGO is fulfilling it's primary brief, which is to ensure more efficient appointments anywhere that inefficient flows are found.
